By default, tapping the WhatsApp button in ClosingFox opens your regular WhatsApp. If you use WhatsApp Business for client communication, you can switch it in 2 minutes.
Option 1: Update the App (Recommended)
If you have the latest version of ClosingFox (v1.3.2 or newer), the app will automatically ask you which app to open — WhatsApp or WA Business — every time you tap the WhatsApp button.
Steps:
- Download the latest ClosingFox APK from your admin or app store
- Install and open the app
- Tap any WhatsApp button on a lead
- You’ll see a popup: “WhatsApp” or “WA Business”
- Pick your preferred app
Business Impact: Sales teams using WhatsApp Business can separate personal and client chats. This means faster response times and no missed client messages buried in personal conversations.
Option 2: Change Your Phone Settings (No App Update Needed)
If you can’t update the app right now, you can tell your phone to always open WhatsApp Business instead of regular WhatsApp.
Steps:
- Open your phone Settings
- Go to Apps (or App Management)
- Find WhatsApp (the green icon — the regular one, NOT Business)
- Tap Open by default or Set as default
- Tap Clear defaults
- Go back to ClosingFox and tap any WhatsApp button
- Your phone will now ask: “Which app? WhatsApp or WA Business?”
- Pick WA Business and tap Always
Done! From now on, every WhatsApp message from ClosingFox will open in WA Business.
Want to switch back later?
Repeat the same steps, but this time clear defaults for WA Business instead. Your phone will ask you to choose again.
Can’t find “Open by default”?
The exact menu name depends on your phone brand:
- Samsung: Settings → Apps → WhatsApp → Set as default → Clear
- Xiaomi / Redmi: Settings → Apps → Manage apps → WhatsApp → Clear defaults
- Realme / Oppo: Settings → App Management → WhatsApp → Open by default → Clear
- OnePlus: Settings → Apps & notifications → WhatsApp → Advanced → Open by default → Clear
- Vivo: Settings → Apps → WhatsApp → Defaults → Clear
